I also learned that the current Alamo roster is incomplete: Names that need to be added: Scotty_______, Lieutenant 'Irish' Finn, Alcalde Juan Seguin, Jocko Robertson, Jethro (A Negro), Dr. Sutherland, Seth ________... Heh-you left off Corporal Pardee of the now infamous cover party! By the way-does that mean you have to bring a covered dish to the party (I know-Free Holy Beans). ;D Lo siento, fixing now. I also could not remember the SGT who takes Bowie's men to their billets.

Still cracks me up and I've read it about 5 times! Yeah, me too. Kevin, didn't I add some? I can't remember if and what.

William Barret Travis was apparently cognizant of the will of God. After all, he had a fiery Baptist uncle.

Travis can't say "pyrotechnics" when he is insensed.

The Mexican Army had nitroglycerin.

Don't carry a Cantina girl around on your shoulders, 'cause you're gonna get popped in the nose and disappear.

Travis has an awesome telescope. He can see men a mile south, of their west bastion from the north wall! And the are only 200 yards away!

I also could not remember the SGT who takes Bowie's men to their billets. Wasn't that the guy who sounded like Yosemite Sam from the old Looney Tunes? Every time I hear that guy I still wonder if this was someone's idea of a joke.

I also learned that, according to Smitty, Crockett hadn't been to San Antonio "for nigh fifteen years" (meaning, he had visited it around 1822-23), and that he also "speaks Spanish you know."
I also learned that even though Davy spoke Spanish he couldn't understand Flaca. But then, even Emil Sand had trouble deciphering her.

Added more names to roster. Think that is all.
Here are some more lessons:
Beekeeper had a magical guitar that could be played with no strings.
An Alamo patrol should go 'halfway down the river to look for any sign' rather than reconnoitering the Laredo or Rio Grande Roads.
The Mexican army also flew French flags.
Jocko's vote was easily bought.
Veracruzano was not only a Mexican ship of war during the Revolution, it was also a fusilero battallon.
Instead of simply saying 'South' one should say: 'about a mile south of our west bastion.'
Lieutenant Finn had a magical powder horn and apparently was known for his lecturing abilities.
It can be difficult to find fifteen sober Texicans.
Bells were rung when the 'patrol was in trouble' but the more significant shofar was blown when the 'patrol was under fire.'
The 32 Men from Gonzales threw themselves to the bears by riding, standing up, in carts all 90 miles from Gonzales.
In addition to art and public speaking, Lieutenant Finn should also be credited with inventing the wristwatch.
Always make the defender with the gimpy leg climb the stairs, walk across the top of the gate, and then step down about three feet onto another roof whenever 'the Big He-bull arrives.'
Those Alamo cannon would not have kept rolling off the parapets if someone would have removed the ropes that kept pulling them.
Captain Dickenson was killed by a weapon with a silencer.
Some of the Mexican dragoons rode well trained horses who knew how to take cover just before they were fired on.
The Pecan Tree was really a Mesquite and inside the fort designed as a dragoon trap just in case any cavalry made it over the nine foot walls.

Alan- Those were great ;D
This begs a whole bunch of Alamo questions regarding Jocko and his religous background...

Alan- Those were great ;D Thank you. Some local WWII guys did this with KELLEY'S HEROES and made up a poster. Hysterical. I think this a good idea for someone with the talent in design.

They had lots of parties in the Alamo: at least two drinking parties are referenced during the siege, plus one birthday party and Corporal Pardee’s cover party. Not to mention the uninterrupted bender Beekeeper was on from the time he arrived in Bexar to the final assault.
