I've always thought that was a remarkably detailed set; I'd never seen the interior before; even more remarkable! That's a pretty accurate representation of the Alamo around 1850-60 too, although (like the 2004 film) they've moved the church forward.

Allen It is one of my favoite Alamo sets as well, simply because it is non-1836 period and they did do a fairly good job on it. Ok-the church should have a roof and a second floor by that time...and it is a little far forward (but not as bad as the Dripping Springs one).

Where can I find information on this movie?I'm interested in THE ALAMO.Where was it built etc.? There´s also a book called "Alamo Village - How a Texas cattleman brought Hollywood to the old west", by John Farkis. It deals specifically with the movie and the building of the movie set, and it has lots of interesting photo´s too.

Er, I think the original question was referencing the Alamo set for the Warner Brothers film. Needless to say, John's book is an excellent look at the construction of the other Alamo set at Brackettville.
