1938 - Colorized version of Andrew Jackson Houston’s Battle of Concepción map from his book “Texas Independence.” Houston, the son of Sam Houston, included a number of military maps in a map pocket at the back of the book. However, no specific reference to the source of the information in the map is given by Houston, whose description of the battle was apparently based largely upon James Bowie’s report. Houston: Anson Jones Press.
2007 - Overlay of Houston's Battle of Concepción map onto a modern aerial photograph (2005) of the area. Bruce K. Moses, Center for Archaeological Research, University of Texas at San Antonio.
