Members: The admin team is in the process of organizing and posting a number of maps relevant to our discussions here. Please post your comments about these scans either here or in new threads rather than in the thread with the map scans. We'd like to keep the scan thread clear of comments so it can be an uncluttered research aid. Thank you! Jim

I've noticed that the quality of the images appears somewhat reduced when posted through Photobucket. If you have a specific map that you would really like to have at a higher resolution, please e-mail me ( bruce.moses@utsa.edu) and I'll try to send it along. I'm also including a relatively obscure link to a number of historic maps of Texas ( ftp2.tnris.org/Imagery/THO/). TheTexas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) created this GIS-based historic archaeological resource in order to help avoid sensitive archaeological and cultural sites (see www.esri.com/news/arcuser/0609/txdot.html for an overview of this project). The maps are in Mr.Sid format so you'll either need to open them with ArcMap or you will need to download the free LizardTech GeoViewer ( www.lizardtech.com/download/dl_options.php?page=viewers).
