Those pix bring back a few memories. When we lived in San Antonio ('94-'97), one of the first things I did was take a drive down to Goliad. It was a very humbling experience to walk the mission grounds and to visit the memorial. Goliad so often gets overlooked (other than the Fannin didn't show issue) in the 1836 story. Or if it's mentioned at all, it's in the "remember the Alamo - Remember Goliad" charge at San Jacinto.
The Alamo will never be forgotten. But what happened to those 400-plus men at Goliad was a true tragedy. Their story needs to be remembered as well.
