Greetings. My name is James Hood and I currently am employed with the Alamo Rangers, working the day shift. I have been employed in the private protections field for most of the last twenty years in every capacity from brand-new grunt to licensed manager and CEO, with interpolated stints as an administrative support agent for AT&T and as a client specialist for a prescription benefits management corporation. Prior to coming into this field I was a commissioned Army officer, field artillery type. I hold a degree in Spanish from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and also speak Portuguese and Russian and have worked professionally (if not overly lucratively) as a freelance translator and interpreter.

James, Welcome, It is good to have a translator on board. I often have questions with some of my translation attempts. Gregg

Welcome aboard James! You have some very impressive credentials!
Since you are in the Alamo City itself, maybe we'll get a chance to meet you at the Symposium next month.

If memory serves it takes place on a Saturday so yes, barring the unforseen I'll be on duty and around and about.

Hello everyone, My name is Mike and I have studied the Alamo for years. I love the story, but have a real passion for the architecture, beauty and mystery of the place. I make dioramas and love to create anything regarding the Alamo. I look forward to the discussions. Great site!

Welcome to the forum, Mike.
I've only been able to download a couple of pictures of your 1/72 diorama, but what I've seen is real impressive.
