I'm very sorry to pass on the very sad news that Bruce Moses has lost his long battle with cancer and passed away today. It is a great a tragic loss to archeology and history. He will be missed. RIP. I don't know if this link will work; it is a Facebook page for the Center for Archaeological Research, UTSA, where Bruce worked. www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Center-for-Archaeological-Research-University-of-Texas-at-San-Antonio/181467367111 Allen

This is tragic news.
Bruce was a good friend, and he fought a hard battle against this illness. Though we usually communicated electronically, I last spoke with him in March and, despite some recent health setbacks, he was upbeat and positive. He was always enthusiastic about his research on the Battle of Medina and mentioned to me how much he valued his friends here on the forum.
My prayers go out to his family. Rest in Peace, Bruce, and know that you were loved.
Jim

This is from Bruce's employer:
We have a lot of new members here who may not be aware of how much Bruce contributed to this forum. A quick look at this section, Alamo Archaeology, should give you some idea. He was a wonderful person and he will be greatly missed.

Oh my goodness, Bruce and I talked just a few weeks ago. Now this explains why he didn't reply to my last email. I knew he was sick but never dreamed this would happen so soon.
Rest in peace Bruce, you will always be remembered. My condolences to the family Bill and Joy

So sorry to hear this. I have very much been appreciating his contributions to this site and to Bexar archaeology in general, and know that he was as passionate about it as the rest of us.
