They sure were...and while THC does have a marker at/near the site of his ranch there are no Centeralist Memorial Markers at the Texas Revolution sites...a few yards from this marker is the THC marker for the grave of the Yucatan Battalion soldados.
The Soldado Memorial Service on Alamo Plaza was a nice--and for many of us-a welcome touch.
The "at long last" is simply that when the statue/monument at Refugio was put up, the locals rejected it because, as one old timer told me, "We were expecting a statue-you know like Davy Crockett."
