According to Amazon and Walmart, it's to be published in May by W. W. Norton (320 pages). It'll retail in the upper $20's based upon both websites. --Mike

I purchased a copy today at Barnes and Noble. If it is as good as Wallis' Pretty Boy Floyd and Billy the Kid biographies, it will be an excellent work.

I just read his book . It seemed like a lot of the story came from other books including Crockett's own. But I liked the more detail he went into about his problems with his wife his relationship with Houston.

Ronald, you're right that most of this book is taken from secondary sources (with the exception of Crockett's autobiography). And take the "problems with his wife" stories with a grain of salt...there's virtually nothing to confirm this longstanding myth in any primary source.
