I have the commander of Mexican forces at the battle of Mission Concepcion but not the subordinate officers; same for the Grass Fight. I have some of the Mexican officers during the battle of Bexar but not all. Any help there would be appreciated in trying to pin down the chain of command during these battles. I have utilized the search system without much result. Might be operator error.

Assuming that such officers/unit lists might exist in archives either north or south of the border, but being unable to access them, the next best thing is to look in published contemporary accounts of the engagements, both Mexican and Texian; often one or two subordinate officers are named. Like a jigsaw puzzle, the creation of such a list is something that can only be pieced together after long and even frustrating gleaning of such accounts. Sanchez Navarro's Diary of his 1835 Bexar experience mentions many other officers. Santos' SANTA ANNA'S CAMPAIGN AGAINST TEXAS contains some helpful documents and notes. There are some Cos documents on the Sons of Dewitt Colony website, as well as many Texian accounts, dealing with all the engagements and campaigns of the Texian Revolution. These are just a few sources that would certainly help.

That is pretty much what I have been doing for the last week or so. For now, it will just have to be a "best estimate". Thanks.
