Hi All, I picked up this knife 20 years ago when I was a young boy in Australia. At the time the words Alamo were written on the knife (very faint). Iam under no illusion that this knife was in the Alamo war. I think it is a commemorative blade produced sometime after the event. I guess that it was likely made 1900-1940 but have no real basis to confirm this suspicion. What I would like to know is if the knife is historically interesting and whether the knife is worth preserving/restoring. Attachments:

In England in 1967 I purchased an identical knife in a cowhide sheath.Only my handle was made of bakelite, the blade had etchings on one side of the blade saying "Remember the Alamo-Last stand of Col.Jim Bowie."Made in Sheffield,England.I sold mine for $115.00 a few years back on eBay.

I also have a knife like that, but it was manufactured in Pakistan. Got it online for $40.
