I'm not sure if this thread belong here, but a book entitled AMERICAN FRONTIERSMEN ON FILM AND TELEVISION: BOONE, CROCKETT, BOWIE, HOUSTON, BRIDGER, and CARSON by Ed Andreychuk has been published by McFarland. The book is given a short description in the book review section of the December JOURNAL OF THE WILD WEST HISTORY ASSOCIATION. Each of the men mentioned in the title is given a 14-17 page biography followed by a comprehensive filmography.
The same issue of the JOURNAL has an excellent review of KIT CARSON: THE LIFE OF AN AMERICAN BORDER MAN by Allen Weiner. Good work Allen.

Thanks, Jerry! You would be in a tiny minority if you did not misspell my name, so it's OK.
My review of the book you mentioned will appear in a future issue of WWHA Journal. Glad to see you are a subscriber!

The book was published nearly seven years ago. It was reviewed in the December 2005 issue (#139) of The Alamo Journal.
[Am I responding to a very old post by mistake?]

The book has been out for a while, but seems to be enjoying some kind of rebirth with the release of a paperback edition this year.
