Was curious to learn, if anything is on record, of Santa Anna's meeting, with Andrew Jackson - after his defeat at San Jacinto - both faced David Crockett, in life and death, have never read any more details - other than S.A. was sent to Washington, after the Revolution - by Houston ? - and met with Jackson... Also, knowing how much the Texas rangers sought out Santa Anna, during and after the Mexican War - just how close did they come to finding him? For I have read, that he lived on, to travel to New York, in the 1860's - giving the "chewing gum " information to an entrepeneur - and living on, until the week of The battle of Little Bighorn - 40 plus years after Alamo, Goliad, and San Jacinto.
