Interesting -- didn't know about the Beatles music book, but that whole music side of you explains a lot about you and why we seem to connect here and on FB.

Yeah, Paul; either I've got eclectic tastes or I'm just scatterbrained and lack focus! But, still muddling through. I envy all you guys who can actually MAKE music, unlike those of us who simply cannot carry a tune (ever!), but live music dearly.

I went back to finish college in my 40s. In one of my advanced history classes, I had to do a paper about something that had a significant impact on Europe and the world. Guess what I tackled? The Beatles and the whole British Invasion, which of course bridged culture and so on. It was huge, but the professor suggested I publish it. Never did, but it's probably around here somewhere.

Allen,
When was your Beatles' book first published? If it's the book I recall, I bought it when it first came out. I read it several times but I have no idea if I still have it. I've bought and resold hundreds of books through the years, I hope it wasn't one of them!

John - the first edition was published in 1986 by McFarland; I believe the second edition (published by Facts on File, which did a dreadful job) appeared in 1992; the paperback, revised third edition was published by Bob Adams in 1994 (IIRC) and is the best and most up-to-date edition.
