To the People of Texas and all Americans in the world: I am close to completion of my short (15-20 minute) one-act play about Joe. I would like to post the first draft, if that is possible, or share it with whoever is interested, for comments and corrections. I don't know how to do it. Send aid to me as rapidly as possible. Jesse: Give this a try. At the top of the text box (where you post to the forum) you'll see a space right under the subject line that says "attachment." I think you can link to your document there and it'll be available to the forum. Give it a shot and let me know if it works (I haven't used the function yet, and it's relatively new to ProBoards). Looking forward to reading your work! Jim

Thanks, Jim. I'll try it when I've completed the draft, which should be soon. Jesse

Attached, I hope, is the first draft of "Travis' Boy," a short (21 page) play about Travis' slave, Travis' beloved Rebecca Cummings, and his friend John R. Jones, which takes place on the day the news of San Jacinto comes to Galveston. It is a Word document. Comments and suggestions, as well as corrections, are welcome. Jesse Waldinger Attachments:

I like what you've done -- puts a lot of things into a whole new perspective, doesn't it?

Thanks for the response, Bob. When I first joined the Forum last some months ago, and asked for leads to research Joe's story, you gave me a link which you thought might be helpful (it was) without mentioning that it was an article written by Bob Durham! Classy. Jesse
