When James Ogilvie learned that Colonel Edward Edwards was killed by Comanche down on the Rio Grande, Daniel Toler also mentioned that Juan Jose Delgado was killed at the same time.
The fact Ogilvie recorded his name suggests that Delgado was significant or at least well known. Can anybody identify him?
I note there was a Juan Delgado had a land grant in McMullen's colony in 1835 and I understand that the Delgado family in general were amongst the Canary Islanders settled in the Bexar area, but beyond that I've so far come up blank.

Will have to think on this one: but would like to say how much I enjoyed your article on EE in the Alamo Journal.
