ALAMO VILLAGE OPEN ON A LIMITED BASIS
Jamie Shahan Rains has approved our opening Alamo Village on weekends on a limited (and experimental) basis.
Starting immediately, we will be allowing visitors to come in for $10.00 each (children under 6 years old free) on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. This included Easter weekend.
Either our secretary Treva or I will unlock the gate for fifteen minutes and admit visitors at the following times:
10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM. The gate will be locked in between these times.
There are no services (other than yours truly) available. No restaurant, gift shops, shows, food or potable water. Please bring your own water. The Cantina will not be available.
I repeat that this is an experiment, and we cannot hire a gate attendant as yet.

...and on the other forum, Mark reminded me to tell everybody that our restrooms ARE open and working and that they didn't need to bring a shovel.

Well, we shall see how many people show up at Alamo Village over the next three days. Do you think we need to offer a Davy Crockett Easter Egg Hunt or something?
Even though the date was April 9 and not April 2, The Alamo '04 opened on Good Friday -- opposite Passion of the Christ. Disney in their infinite wisdom. lol. Do you believe that was six years ago??? The mind reels.

Rich, how many people can realistically be expected in Brackettville over the Easter Holiday? And yeah, an Alamo Easter Egg hunt....every time one is found: "You'll be picking that up yourself."

To paraphrase a Lithuanian South African English actor, "Open the gate!"
