For any forum members or lurkers in the Nashville area, I'm embarking on a mini book tour tomorrow to support "David Crockett in Congress."
On December 15th, I'll be speaking at the Tennessee State Museum in Nashville. The Tennessee Historical Society is sponsoring the event, which will include a guided tour of Crockett/Andrew Jackson artifacts in the museum's collection, a talk on the evolution of the "Davy" character, followed by a book signing in the museum gift shop. The program starts at 4PM, is free, and is open to the public.
On December 16th I'll be signing copies of "Crockett in Congress" at Rhino Booksellers' Charlotte Avenue location at 11AM.
On the 17th, I'll be signing at Books A Million in Murfreesboro from 5PM-7PM.
If you're around, stop by and say hello!
On another note, for any of you who purchased copies of the book and would like them autographed but can't make an event, Allen and I now have custom designed bookplates, signed by us both, available at no charge. Contact either of us via PM or email and we'll be happy to drop one in the mail to you.
Hope to meet some of you next week!
Best, Jim
