Ugh! Well there's been some controversy, so the Hays film might be pulled from the museum.

A little news on the Jack Hays film. On visits to the Hays County Courthouse in San Marcos and the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame in Waco over the last couple weeks, I found the film being displayed and sold to visitors. It is supposedly being shown at the Texas Ranger Museum inside the Buckhorn Saloon in San Antonio, but I have no verification. Interest in the film was lukewarm at first, but it seems to be picking up a bit.

I visited the Buck Horn Saloon last Saturday and confirmed that the Hays film is indeed playing in the Texas Ranger Museum there. They have a flat screen T.V. set up on a wall next to a small copy of the Hays County Courthouse statue of Jack Hays. The Ranger Museum is also prominently displaying ( at the entrance ) the full-bearded photo of Bigfoot Wallace that I gave them from the N. H. Rose Collection at the University of Oklahoma in Edmond. The adult ticket for the Buck Horn display and Ranger Museum is a bit pricey at $18 ( for 2 days ), but it was worth it to me. The ranger exhibits and stuffed animal menagerie is amazing.
