Yeah, I know there are a couple here I just stumbled on a very long discussion (over 80 pages in two separate threads) that revolves around Derek and the Dominos, with a ton of posts by member Bobby Whitlock (submitted via his wife, CoCo Whitlock, username "happytobealive"). I've sampled some of it, and there's some fabulous info in there if you have the time to dig through it, concerning the Layla sessions, the aborted sessions for the 2nd album; the Dominos tour, Clapton's first solo album, George Harrison's "All Things Must Pass" sessions, etc. I plan on thoroughly exploring this goldmine when I get time this fall or winter: part 1: www.stevehoffman.tv/forums/showthread.php?t=160164 part 2: www.stevehoffman.tv/forums/showthread.php?t=161734

Fantastic! I have to say that I've never been that much into George or his music -- a few songs, yes, but overall, not so much -- however I do respect him and his contributions to music, and so on. Eric, on the other hand, has always interested me. I got to see him in Austin on his "Cradle" tour back around 1995, I believe. Gatemouth Brown opened for him. Unlike most shows, this tour and show was a no-hits affair. Just the blues, from the earliest form through revved up Chicago-style blues. What a great evening on song.
As far as his Derek days -- it's all very interesting, indeed. I can't wait to dive into these links and read a bit.
Thanks so much for posting.
Paul
