I was cruising YouTube tonight, and searching out Alamo clips and songs, when I came across this little guy and his video about a trip to the Alamo. Kids like him are our future, and they're the ones who will be the future guardians of the shrine and grounds. Enjoy: www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXcx1juP2S4

Couldn't agree with you more, Paul! I was doing exactly what that little guy was doing when I was his age. My father gave me my first Alamo playset, the Marx set, at the age of six!

My father gave me my first Alamo playset, the Marx set, at the age of six! I can remember being, like, maybe 7 or 8 years old and my folks giving me a five dollar bill for my birthday, or something, to spend on what I wanted. I had sen the old Walt Disney/Fess Parker Davey Crockett series a short time before and was hooked on the Alamo because of it. Well, I saw this Alamo toy set and bought it with that $5. I played "Alamo" with that for years. Of course, David and Jim and the other good guys usually won when I did. I'd forgotten about that set until I saw this boy's set, and then you reminded me about how I got mine. Paul
