Tom, The overall site map has now been updated - the Astrix was originally placed in the wrong area. [ftp]http://www.alamostudies.proboards58.com/index.cgi?board=archaeology&action=display&thread=1197638328[/ftp]
The location is now generally correct, although I've seen nothing so far to definitively nail the location. Since I originally marked the aerial I've had a chance to review photographs of the old federal building and the trees in question appear to be no more than 15' north of Houston Street. There are also several references to the southeast corner of the old building indicating a location very near to the corner of Houston Street and Avenue E. That would roughly place the burials somewhere in the vicinity of the outer Alamo compound wall just north of Houston Street. It's about half way between the northwestern corner of the compound and the north wall of the North Courtyard.

Would that wall footing be consistent with an east-west-oriented partition wall in the row of buildings north of the granary/convent?
