Originally released in 2002, Brian Kaufman’s The Breach is the fictional account of General Manuel Fernandez Castrillón, Aid-de-Camp for Mexican Dictator, Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna. The Breach, written as Castrillón’s personal journal, follows the struggles of the Mexican Army as it travels from Saltillo, Mexico to the plains of Texas in mid-winter to squash the Texian rebellion. Castrillón is a soldier, bound by honor and duty, and is witness to nearly every controversial event in the Texas campaign. While there has yet to be a release date, The Breach is to be republished with 10 pencil and ink illustrations by Wade Dillon. Keep an eye out for more updates on THE BREACH! The above images are © of Wade Dillon and may not be reproduced without the consent of the artist. Note: The images are *teasers* of the illustrations. They are not the complete, finished pieces.

The illustrations have been turned into the author. I will be waiting for word from him and the publishers very soon!
Also, for all you Alamo buffs in Florida, an art show and book signing will be held here in Jacksonville Beach upon the book's release.
I'll be back with more details soon!
All the best, Wade Dillon

Glad to see Castrillon looked like Bill Chemerka. Good job, Wade. If only I had used Castulo Guerra for influence as I originally intended, right? Here are two more teasers from The Breach by Brian Kaufman. Those should hold you all over until the release of the book. I'll post news regarding the reprint as it arrives to me! All the best, Wade P.S. In the second teaser, you can spot Thomas F. Feely and Craig Covner as Mexican soldados, and Mike Boldt as an Alamo defender. You'll also spot Bill Chemerka as a Mexican soldado in the full, final print.
