Thanx for the add. I'm Chris. Spent 5 weeks on the Alamo set filming the IMAX version seen at the big theater. I took about 40 rolls of film during my time there. I think I have a few flicks with Kevin Young in them too. Played both a Texan, and Mexican Soldier. Also, recorded the period music with Charles Davis in the Lucas sound truck. Very interesting reading on your site. Thanx again.

Welcome Agustin to the Forum. I think you'll find the forum like Willie Wonka's Chocolate Factory. You will be amazed by the wonders within and the years of scholarship and opinions it contains. Enjoy...you won't believe what's in store for your imagination. Lou from Long Island

Hi Tejaas! Welcome aboard. Here's some topics for engaging discussions: >What did the North Wall look like on March 6, 1836? >Where did Crockett meet his end? >How many Texans tried to break-out during the attack? >Did Travis draw a line in the dust? >Santa Ann: competent military officer, political opportunist, foolish dictator, etc... Don't be afraid to go off topic like: Custer(hero, villain or unlucky cuss?) Hope you enjoy our little Forum as much as I do. Lou from Long Island

Today is March 6th, the 180th anniversary of the reason we come together for this Forum. "Once they fought to give us freedom, that is all we need to know..." Congratulations to all the members and friends who are attending the 2016 Symposium. The only thing on my bucket list is to someday attend a symposium. If the stars align just right, I hope to make the next one. Best regards to you all on this chilly but bright sunny day in New York. Lou from Long Island

Hello! My name is Howard Jemison, Tallahassee, FL, recently retired from the Florida Department of Transportation after 32 years. Here's why I joined the forum. A couple of years ago my wife and I visited the Alamo, our first visit. While there we glanced through the list of Texans who died at the Alamo. I was very surprised to learn that one of the Texans was Green Benito Jameson. Well, my family has a well developed geneology study that traces our family's migration from Ireland/Scotland in the 1740's and I knew that the spelling of our last name has had several variations, to include Jameson. Long story short, it appears that Green Benito and my family share a Grand Father: Green's Great Grand Father was Robert Jemison (Sarah) who is my Great Grand Father going back six generations. Further, my family settled in Alabama (Taladega) in the 1830's and apparently there were a lot of Alabamians who settled in Texas prior to the Battle at the Alamo. What is interesting, is I have a diary from my GG Grand Father who with a couple of friends visited Texas, to include the Alamo in the 1850's. While the diary does not mention Green Benito, the diary is incredibly interesting, particularly his description of the dances that he and his friends attended during their visit to Texas. So, while there is no conclusive documentation that I am a distant relative of Benito Green Jameson, the geneology information I have which was compiled in the 1960's is persuasive enough that my family and I believe we are probably related to Green. So, needless to say, I'd like to learn as much about Green and his contributions at the Alamo. Any help in that regard would be appreciated. My wife and also plan another trip to San Antonio in the Fall 2017 and I'd like to spend another day at the Alamo. Thanks for allowing me to join the forum. Email: jemisonh@comcast.net
