The History Channel website, every day, does a "This Day in History" breakdown. So, on March 6, one would think... But, no. They have Rob Reiner's birthday and something about Napster, but no mention of the Alamo. Unbelievable. Guess the "History Channel" was too busy working on a new reality TV program.

I don't know how they get away with calling it the "History Channel?" We get much more about the Alamo from American Heroes, Encore Westerns and Decades. The Newspaper mentioned March 6th, but none of our local channels ran Alamo movies like other years. Lou from Long Island

And you would think they could at least run the series they did, "Texas Rising," especially given the recent passing of the great Bill Paxton. But, no, it was a marathon of "Pickers" and "Pawn Stars." I have a documentary they also did on DVD somewhere - not like they didn't have anything to show. So I had a glass of Rebecca Creek Texas Single Malt Whiskey with two of my life-long buddies and toasted "Remember the Alamo."
