Just finished reading this novel by Tom Eidson over the weekend. The story is nothing short of astounding and an emotional roller coaster ride. I won't give away spoilers here. What I will post about this wonderful book is already out there on the web. The story takes place in 1858 New Mexico and basically covers six days where about thirty Apache have pinned down three nuns led by Sister St. Agnes and seven orphaned children. A stranger on the run himself, along with his Indian dog come to their aid against impossible odds. This is a hard book to find. I had to get it through inter library loan and I'm glad I went through the trouble to do so. Anyone else out there read this?
