One of my all-time favorite baseball figures has gone to where we'll meet him later on. There are just too many grand memories of this guy for me to try to recall any right now. Often, Earl's antics were more thrilling than the game! Truly one of a kind; a genuine character. We don't see this much anymore, if at all.

I remember Virgil Trucks quite well. His amazing two no-hitters in 1952 (both by scores of 1-0) were career highlights. The second was in Yankee Stadium vs. the Yanks; the last time they suffered a no-hit loss at home.
