Has anyone else tried to find the location of the "Old Mill" that was the HQ of Austin's army during the siege of Bexar? I used an aerial photo and Yoakum's map of Bexar to make an aproximate location of it. I found a large meander scar on the photo that matches the loop near the mill on the 1855 map and walked it on the ground. If the map was correct, the old meander matches up pretty close.

That's it, the Molino Blanco or Sugar Mill. Same place that I placed it from the Yoakum map. Didn't see a marker any where.

There is a marker for the Old Mill site in frot of Providence High School. Had to drive up in front to find it. Glad to see it was marked.

A marker can also be found along the new Riverwalk extension, west bank, near Brooklyn Avenue.
