1855 - Henderson King Yoakum included this rendition of the 1835 Seige of Béxar in his two volume “History of Texas : From its First Settlement in 1685 to its Annexation to the United States in 1846.” The following year Yoakum traveled to Houston to deliver a Masonic address where he died after suffering a severe tubercular attack.
