The "Help" section that Proboards offers for this forum doesn't provide information on posting photo files. Here are some tips:
You’ll need to have an account with a website that has a feature allowing you to upload and store photos. Some of the free sites include but are not limited to Photobucket and Flickr. You’ll also need to familiarize yourself with the features of your particular host, such as file keeping and editing photos.
You should resize your photo so that it is no more than about 715 pixels in width. If it is much wider than that, the image will be wider than Alamo Studies Forum’s viewing screen, forcing the reader to scroll back and forth to view the image as well as the text in any messages in the thread. You can resize your image in your computer’s photo program or once it’s uploaded to your photo webhost.
Once you've uploaded your photo to your photo hosting site, you need to find and copy the URL for the photo. For example, in Photobucket, when you open your photo, there is a “Share this image” pane, and the correct URL is in the “Direct Link” box.
Create a message (a new one or a reply; don’t use the “Quick Reply” feature) at Alamo Studies Forum. In the “Add Tags” menu toward the top of the screen, push the button with the photo icon on the second row, fourth button from the left. This will insert in your message a code. Paste the URL for your photo in the center of that code, precisely between the back-to-back brackets, ][
Once you have hit the “Post Reply” button, your photo should show up in your message.
If you have problems posting a photo, contact the admin or trk.
