First off, we're very glad you've decided to join us.
Please be patient with the registration process!
We make every effort to filter out trolls and spammers, and consequently the forum has a good signal to noise ratio, but it comes with a price. The registration approval process is manual here: a moderator must approve your account before you will be able to post. Sometimes it's a few hours before a moderator logs on, so we hope you'll bear with us until we get your membership squared away. In the meantime, browse away and enjoy the forum. Then, as soon as you can, jump right in and introduce yourself!
We look forward to hearing from you.

thanx for having me.i suppose my interests start from world war one[my grandfather was in the middlesex regiment, footballers battalion] and go backwards taking in american and british history in the 19c and 18c,chiefly.as a baby boomer i was raised up on westerns and i remember as a young boy making drawings of the alamo battle.once on=line i discovered you could buy a multitude of books on the west and these are what ive been accumulating of late.the alamo film, ditto for'zulu'planted the seeds of interest as a young boy and they are still there .they helped me blossom into a history buff and while i retain great affection for the movies, its the true history that lights my fire.greetings from liverpool, everyone.

Welcome aboard, Terry! Most of us here are baby boomers raised on the same westerns, Alamo and Zulu films as yourself.
