Very good. What in the world does Sande say to the hack driver when he sends him away? "Puedes irte, Juan." "You can go, Juan."

This is actually from Bill Chemerka, and i can't remember the exact quote, but it is from The Alamo 13 Days to Glory where Sue Dickinson makes a comment to Travis that she knows something about blacksmithing because her uncle was one.
As Bill pointed out--Duh-Your Husband is one!

"every creek crossing between here and San Jacinto". Very perceptive of Richard Widmark in The Alamo.

Well, it's not a "line" but a scene from the Wayne-amo. That birthday scene with Lisa just doesn't fit for me.
I couldn't find the line, but one of the dumbest for me from the same movie involved that "sombrero" scene where Widmark/Bowie learns of his wife's supposed recent death. I guess news traveled r-e-a-l-l-y s-l-o-w in Tejas back then, since she'd already been dead a number of years.

Any line done by the Mexican Officer with Santa Anna in The Last Command. Sounds like an unemployed Opera Singer or an audition for Mighty Mouse-

"Kind of a game the fellers play back home...." I cringe everytime I watch that stupid feather fight. I remember when John Wayne was Merv Griffin's only guest back in 1971. The subject of THE ALAMO came up, and instead of showing one of the better, more poignant or actionful scenes, they showed that goldurned feather scene! Arrrrrgh!

Crockett: Bowie? Parson: Looked like a tie to me. I remember thinking when I was watching the movie for the ten thousand time that they sure were having a good time while being held up in the Alamo and surrounded by thousands of mexican troops.
