The gunnade seems to me ideal for close quarter fighting as opposed to the longer range capabilities of a normal 12 lb tube.Loaded with scrap metal I'm sure it would have been devastating on the north wall or north courtyard. The reason I'm asking is that in"Altar for their sons.."Gary has the gunnade replacing the dismounted 18 lb gun in the S/W corner.Wouldn't that position require a longer range weapon?.Also is there any proof that the 18 lb gun wasn't remounted ? I'm sure the Alamo blacksmiths could have fashioned some sort mounting for the tube.
