With the dearth of factual information concerning the siege & battle of the Alamo, it astonishes me that this information has been kept in private hands. It's not my place to tell people how to spend their money but surely it would not devalue the selling price of the original documents if the information contained therein had been released into the public domain. Where was the gain in keeping it private?
Edit added: I looks as though Seguin has singed his christian name as 'John' Would that have been the norm at the time?
Interesting also to note that Travis is referred to as Mr.Travis.

Folks, the docs & letters are available on the link that Tracesoftexas posted in hi-resolution (click twice) to be saved as photographs, while the plain text can be saved into 'Word' & the like. If you go to page 11, you will find many more documents under the heading 'The Robert Davis Collection' Many could well be worth saving as I guess once the auction is over, the pages may well disappear.
